About Incubators - SEEU/BDC - YES Incubator Tetovo

The business incubator on the Southeast Europe University was founded as a pilot project of YES Foundation with the financial support of Foundation Open Society Institute - Macedonia for creating a university business incubator. Because of the small number of offices, this project functions more like a Business Development Center then as a classical incubator.

The vision of the center is to grow in a university incubator, with all the advantages offered by the location, i.e., easier promotion of entrepreneurship among the students.

The goal of this incubator is decreasing the unemployment by giving support for the young population and motivating and stimulating them to start their own business and to accomplish their business ideas. The business incubator in Tetovo is striving to connect potential innovative young entrepreneurs from Tetovo, Gostivar with the necessary resources (offices, technical and consultancy support) for developing business.

This Center connects the business community with the Southeast Europe University. Also, the center organizes management trainings and business consultancies for individuals and organizations involved in ICT.

The Center has a total area of 60 m2, with 39 m2 useful space. Total number of offices is 4 with an area of 12 to 20 m2, from which 3 are offices for renting and 1 is a shared office. At the moment, all three offices are rented to companies- tenants at the center. The center is part of the SEE University. The center is open to students, postgraduates who would like to start their own business.

With the fact that the Center is located at the University, the access to the university students is easier and the promotion of the center and entrepreneurship, in general, is easier.

The incubation period in the center varies from 6 months to 1 year. In the first 6 months, the rent is 5 euro for m2, with an increase of 10% from the initial prize in the next 6 months. The price includes fully equipped offices (with a desk, chair, and computer), consultant services and other services offered by the center.
